About The College
Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Bahraich is a women’s higher education institution established in 1973 with the objective of promoting access, equity, and quality in higher education for women, particularly from rural and socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The college functions in accordance with the academic regulations, curricular framework, and quality assurance norms prescribed by its affiliating university and statutory bodies.
Since its inception, the institution has offered undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Arts and undergraduate programmes in Science disciplines. All academic programmes were initially introduced with Provisional (Temporary) approval and were subsequently granted Permanent approval by the competent authority, as per regulatory requirements.
The institution follows a learner-centric teaching–learning process, supported by academic planning, continuous internal assessment, and student support mechanisms. Quality enhancement initiatives and institutional development are undertaken through systematic planning and monitoring under the guidance of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
