Rovers–Rangers (Scouts-guides)
The Rangers Unit at Mahila Mahavidyalaya Bahraich is an integral part of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, dedicated to the holistic development of students through discipline, service, and leadership training. It provides young women with a platform to develop self-confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
The Rangers programme aims to inculcate values of character building, patriotism, and community service among students. Guided by the principles of duty to self, duty to others, and duty to the nation, it prepares students to face challenges with courage and determination.
The unit actively organizes various activities such as camps, drills, community service programmes, cleanliness drives, first-aid training, and awareness campaigns. Rangers also participate in national celebrations, social outreach programmes, and disaster management training. These activities help students develop practical skills, leadership qualities, and a spirit of cooperation.
Participation in Rangers enhances students’ physical fitness, mental strength, and decision-making abilities. It also promotes qualities like discipline, punctuality, and respect for diversity, which are essential for responsible citizenship.
