Formation of the Student Council (Academic Session 2026-27)
In compliance with the Order dated 24.09.2004 passed by the Hon’ble High Court, Allahabad, Division Bench, Lucknow in Petition No. 4477 Management Committee vs. State Government, and the Order dated 22.12.2005 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition No. 24295/2004 (as referred to on pages 3–4), and in accordance with the provisions under Section 6.1.2–5, it is hereby directed that in place of the “Student Union,” the system of the Student Council shall be implemented in the College.
Structure of the Student Council

1. The student securing the highest marks in B.A., B.Sc., and M.A. (First, Second, and Third Year) shall be designated as the Head of the Student Council.

2. Other meritorious students of the respective categories shall serve as members of the Student Council and its associated committees.

3. Additionally, the student placed next in order of merit after the highest-ranking student shall also be included as a member.
Special Nominations
The following students shall be specially nominated to the Student Council in recognition of their achievements:

• One student of NCC holding a valid ‘C’ / ‘G’ Certificate.

• One student who has completed two special camps and contributed 240 hours under the National Service Scheme (NSS).

• One outstanding Scout/Guide awarded with the National Award or Governor’s Award.

• Students securing First, Second, or Third position in individual competitions at the National or State level.

• Students securing First, Second, or Third position in individual Inter-University Sports competitions.
Provision for Representation
If there is no representation of Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Minority Communities, a student from the final year of the Postgraduate Programme, who has not previously represented, shall be nominated as a special member of the Student Council.
